Pucallpa Logistics Base: The own infrastructure that supports SEPCON operations in Camisea

SEPCON inaugurates its logistics base in Pucallpa, a strategic asset for its operations in the Peruvian jungle

A long-term investment that consolidates SEPCON's operational and logistics capacity for the most demanding projects of the Camisea field and the central-north jungle of Peru.

Pucallpa, Peru — August 2014

SEPCON inaugurated in August 2014 its logistics base in Pucallpa, located in the vicinity of the river port of the Ucayali River. The decision responded to a specific strategic need: guarantee the logistics efficiency and the operational response capacity for all the projects that the company executes in the Camisea field and in the central-north-Peruvian jungle, eliminating the dependence of third-party infrastructure in one of the most remote operating areas of the country.

Implemented over 57 hectares, with a 10-hectare service area, the base concentrates all the infrastructure necessary to sustain large-scale operations in a single point: warehouses, metal-mechanical, piping and civilian prefabricated workshops, workshops of Maintenance, yards for heavy equipment and yellow lines, and a camp with capacity to accommodate up to 300 people.

The opening of the base marked a turning point in the way SEPCON manages its operations in the region. Having own infrastructure in Pucallpa allows you to reduce mobilization times, centralize prefabrication and maintenance of equipment, and sustain the operational continuity of projects that are executed in restricted access environments, where each day lost in logistics has a direct impact on the schedule and cost of the WORK.

With this base, SEPCON takes a concrete step towards a more integrated and autonomous operation in the Peruvian jungle, consolidating its presence in one of the country’s areas of greatest energy activity.
