Pucallpa Logistics Base: Own infrastructure that supports SEPCON operations in Camisea

SEPCON inaugurates its logistics base in Pucallpa, a strategic asset for its operations in the Peruvian jungle

A long-term investment that consolidates SEPCON’s operational and logistics capacity for the most demanding projects of the Camisea field and the central-north jungle of Peru.

Pucallpa, Peru — August 2014

SEPCON inaugurated its logistics base in Pucallpa in August 2014, strategically located near the Ucayali River port. The decision responded to a specific need: to guarantee logistical efficiency and operational response capacity for all the projects the company carries out in the Camisea field and the north-central Peruvian jungle, eliminating its dependence on third-party infrastructure in one of the country’s most remote operating areas.

Built on 57 hectares, with a 10-hectare service area, the base brings together all the infrastructure required to support large-scale operations in a single location. It includes prefabrication workshops for piping and civil construction, maintenance workshops, equipment storage areas, yards for heavy machinery and fleet vehicles, and a camp with capacity to accommodate up to 300 people.

The opening of the base marked a turning point in the way SEPCON manages its operations in the region. Having its own infrastructure in Pucallpa allows the company to reduce mobilization times, centralize equipment prefabrication and maintenance, and ensure the operational continuity of projects carried out in areas with restricted access, where every day lost due to logistical issues directly affects project schedules and costs.

With this base, SEPCON has taken a significant step toward a more integrated and autonomous operation in the Peruvian jungle, strengthening its presence in one of the country’s most active energy regions.
